  • Don’t rinse your mouth for the first 24 hours after your extraction.
  • Don’t use a straw.
  • Eat a soft or liquid diet, and avoid chewing with teeth near the extraction site.
  • After the first day, rinse the socket with warm, salty water after each meal and before bed.
